Latino Hispanic Outreach Committee

The Latino Hispanic Outreach Committee (LHOC) is comprised of various agencies, organizations, faith institutions, Latino and Hispanic community members, DEPC staff and other community members.  The LHOC is designed to build connections and collaborations among agencies, individuals and organizations who serve or desire to serve Latino Hispanic families. LHOC promotes community driven action steps around health, early care and education, family support programs and other community programs and initiatives, while increasing understanding of Latino and Hispanic culture.

Some of the current LHOC partners include Eastpointe Behavioral Health Care, Edgecombe County Public Schools, Edgecombe County Health Department, Life Changing Christian Outreach, My Sister’s House, Nash County Health Department, Nash-Rocky Mount Public Schools, North Carolina Cooperative Extension, North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, North Carolina Victim Assistance, Network, PFLAG, Project Grace, Tar River Mental Health Association, and Telemon Migrant Group.
