Did you know that any fruit or 100% fruit juice counts as part of the Fruit Group? Fruits contain important vitamins and nutrients that the body needs to function. One such example is Vitamin C which builds up the immune system. The recommended amount of fruits for children ages 2-3 years old is 1 cup while the recommended amount for children ages 4-8 is 1 and 1/2 cups of fruit. What counts as 1 cup of fruit?
