Stay Positive Parents!
From toddler tantrums to a teenager’s defiance, from bedtime dramas to outright disobedience, Triple P helps parents handle the everyday issues that can make family life stressful.
The Triple P – Positive Parenting Program is one of the world’s most effective parenting programs.
Triple P works by giving parents the skills to raise confident, healthy children and teenagers, and to build stronger family relationships. It also helps parents manage misbehavior and prevent problems from occurring in the first place.
Triple P doesn’t tell people how to parent, rather, it gives them simple and practical strategies they can adapt to suit their own values, beliefs and needs. Triple P is also different because it is not a “one-size-fits-all” program. It’s a system that offers increasing levels of support to meet parents’ different needs.
Parents can choose anything from attending a large public seminar, a small discussion group or receive individual support from a DEPC accredited Triple P staff member. Triple P Tip Sheets and workbooks are utilized to help facilitate discussion regarding a parent’s specific need, a seminar or discussion group topic.
Examples of Tip Sheets include:
- Positive Parenting – Coping With Stress
- Infants – Promoting Development
- Toddlers – Toilet Training
- Preschoolers – Going Shopping
- Elementary School Children – Being Bullied
