SUMMARY:Before and After School Care (BSAC)
DESCRIPTION:BSAC is a 5-hour introductory level training event for school age care professionals that are new to the field.  The training includes the following modules: 1) Health\, Safety\, & Nutrition\, 2) Environmental Design\, 3) Child/Youth Development\, 4) Developmentally Appropriate Activities\, 5) Guiding Child Behavior\, and 6) Quality School Age Care.  This training is required by the NC Division of Child Development for school age care professionals working in licensed programs but is a great training for new staff in any afterschool program setting. \nTarget Audience: School Age early childhood professionals \nTuesday June 24\, 2025 @ 10:00 am -3:00 pm (in person training session)\nRegistration form and fee must be received by: Tuesday June 10\, 2025 \nDown East Partnership for Children/Auditorium\n215 Lexington Street Rocky Mount NC \n(Capacity limited to 15) \n5 contact hours |Cost $25.00 per person \nTrainer (s): Shewanna Manning Core Quality Improvement Coordinator  \n                      Tracy L Pittman CCR & R Core Services Program Manager  \n  \n  \n
