Lunch & Learn – Using QPR Concepts for Suicide Prevention

Description:
This presentation will use concepts from QPR (Question/Persuade/Refer) to reduce suicidal behaviors. Participants will learn suicide prevention strategies to facilitate the development of effective safety planning. Skill acquisition will be confirmed through the incorporation of case examples.
Objectives:
· Discuss risk factors and why people become suicidal
· Assist patients to identify protective factors.
· Perform risk assessments to facilitate safety planning and documentation

Credit:
1.5 Contact Hours; 1.5 NBCC hours; 1.5 Category-A Psychology Hours
Credit will be awarded based on participant selection at time of registration. Contact hours will be awarded to all participants.
