DEPC’s Circle of Parents program is a support group for families who have children with special needs, ages birth to 18 residing in Edgecombe or Nash Counties.
Caregivers are able to spend time connecting with each other, offering encouragement, support and suggestions for managing the care of their child with special needs.
During Circle meetings, school-age children participate in developmentally and age appropriate learning and supportive activities within their own Circle of Kids group. Children not yet in kindergarten are cared for by trained childcare providers in DEPC’s engaging Play Space.
The Circle of Parents program meets at the DEPC Family Resource Center during the school year. Meetings take place every Monday nights of each month from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. A light healthy dinner is served from 6:00 pm-6:30 pm.
