Description: This training is aligned with the NC Foundations for Early Learning and Development and is designed to challenge teachers to go a little deeper with promoting diversity within the preschool classroom setting. It looks at the ECERS Item #28 but also uses the latest research and information on the Anti-Bias Curriculum and new information within the Cultural Competence Breakthrough Series from Winston-Salem State University. Participants will be able to define diversity and identify diversity within the preschool classroom setting. Participants will gain strategies to use within their preschool classroom to promote diversity. Participants will learn the benefits and challenges of promoting diversity within the preschool classroom with information on anti-bias education.
